Proof of Vaccination Required beginning Tuesday, August 3, 2021
Beginning Tuesday August 3, we will return to requiring patrons entering Sidetrack to show their valid photo ID and proof that they’ve been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested negative within the last three days. Proof of vaccination is a physical vaccination card or a picture on your phone of your vaccination card or other electronic proof.
As information about the changing nature of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Delta variant continue to develop, it is widely agreed upon by scientists and researchers that “vaccines remain the one reliable shield against the virus, in whatever form it takes. The vaccines largely prevent infection, even with the Delta variant, and greatly reduce the chances of severe illness or death should infection occur.” (NY Times July 31, 2021)
Sidetrack’s goal, as always, is to provide a welcoming and safe space for our clientele. Our staff has worked tirelessly over the last 18 months to adhere to Covid restrictions and protocols while welcoming people from around the world. Some customers arrive at our front door and do not know the current Covid-related requirements. So, if you’re reading this, tell a friend, share this post and help us get the word out there. As always, we love for you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram as well as register for our weekly newsletter to stay up to speed on evolving Covid requirements and restrictions (www.sidetrackchicago.com) .
Some people may not agree with this policy, but Sidetrack is doing what it can to help keep our customers and staff safe. In response to that we say:
If you aren’t vaccinated yet—that is on you. The science is overwhelmingly clear on the benefits that vaccines provide both to you and to those you come in contact with.
Get vaccinated so you can get Sidetrack’d.
