James Baran
April storyteller James Baran is a native Chicagoan. His gay epiphany occurred when he was 15 at the corner of Oakdale and Broadway. Fast forward to the time of anti-woke politics, and James decided to write his memoir as evidence that words are not our enemy and that gay is, naturally, perfectly normal. It’s entitled Finding My Vocabulary and is available at Unabridged Books. James is now working on a series of travel photo essays. Hear James’ story Tuesday, April 1, at OUTspoken at Sidetrack 7-9pm, seating from 6pm.
